Alex Branson joined INgrooves from RoyaltyShare Inc, where he served as a consultant during the transition period after they acquired the assets of Broad Street Digital. He previously held the ‘Vice President, Sales and Marketing’ role at Broad Street Digital which was the new name given to Flowphonics when it was acquired by Arbinet-thexchange Inc (NASDAQ: ARBX) in December 2006. He was part of the original management team of Rightsrouter, the previous incarnation of Flowphonics, during the period when they ran the Musicindie project for the UK record label trade body AIM. Prior to joining Broad Street Digital, Alex ran the licensing operations for the Nokia music service ‘Music Recommenders’ as part of the team at UK agency Frukt. Prior to and during this employment, he continued to help run dance aggregator alexlee which he co-owned, as well as his own dance label In Music which he formed in 2001. Before joining Rightsrouter in 2004 Mr Branson was the Licensing Executive at the European based record and publishing company Media Records, and before that Licensing Co-ordinator at Sony Music UK.
