David has a broad range of UK and international commercial experience at board level in both private and public companies. In 2005 David identified a huge opportunity in the structural challenges being faced by the traditional music industry, which, combined with the explosion of broadband and social networking, would enable an entirely new, and more efficient, business model to emerge.  This led to the launch of Slicethepie in 2007.  In 2009, Slicethepie launched SoundOut, a unique market insight and analytics service for independent artists and the broader music industry. SoundOut is powered by the millions of independent ratings and reviews on Slicethepie, and provides detailed and accurate reports generated directly from consumer feedback.  Over the past 2 years Slicethepie has won various prestigious industry awards including:‘Best New Media’ – The Hospital Club Awards and ‘Best Innovation’ – BT Digital Music Awards.  David was also one of the 3 finalists for CNBC’s European Business Leader Awards in both 2009 and 2010.
