Javier Lopez is the Director UK & Ireland Sales – Music Division – for Midem, the original and most important global music trade show and conference, which has been taking place in Cannes for the last 45 years. In 2011, over 7000 participants from 78 countries and representing 3200 companies attended the event.

After working several years as a freelance music journalist in London for Spanish magazines such as Rolling Stone, Vogue Spain, Top Music and Rockdelux, he joined a music exporter in London where he started his career in sales and business development. Six years ago he joined Reed Midem and he is responsible for exhibition, advertising and sponsorship sales as well as being the main point of contact for any British and Irish company, or artist, that wants to go to Midem and expand their international business opportunities.
