Pamela McCormick Director, Urban Development

Pamela McCormick’s career began working for jazz promoter Assembly Direct, since which she has worked with John McLaughlin and concert pianists Katia & Marielle Labèque.  She completed a two-year MA in Arts Management alongside a freelance career including: Independent Arts Manager and Assistant to Semyon Bychkov, producing events for The Barbican with Serious, DJ Pogo’s Lyrical Lounge at the Jazz Café and Jonzi D’s Aeroplane Man UK tour.  In 2000, Pamela co-founded Urban Development, a leading music development organisation in Stratford.  Through its programme of professional development, live events and education, Urban Development stands at the crossroads where the creativity of underground music meets the professional music industry and plays an integral role in the growth of urban music in London by combining business acumen with an understanding of youth culture.
