Philip Lee Creative Director, XL Recordings

Phil is Creative Director at the independent record label XL Recordings, the home to Radiohead, The White Stripes, MIA and Tyler The Creator to name a few.  His role requires him to oversee the visual output of the label and collaborate with the artists on their individual projects, assisting as and when needed.  Recent notable campaigns have been for Adele, Vampire Weekend and The xx. Where he oversaw the origins of the visual style and managed the creative through to the marketing campaigns including videos.  Phil graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a BA hons in Graphic Design in 1997 and joined XL Recordings as a freelance designer working on print campaigns for the likes of The Prodigy, Badly Drawn Boy and Basement Jaxx.  In 2003 he adopted the role of Head Of Visuals which included commissioning the music videos alongside the print material and in 2010 he became Creative Director.
